Audio Alerts

I have been using Nagios for about 6 months now and must say that I am
quite impressed. I am still finding and implementing new features and
plugins.

Everything works very well but I have one annoyance. I am not sure if
it is a misconfig on my part or normal behavior. Whenever a service has
a problem and goes into a soft state, the audio alerts start. But until
the service problem reaches a hard state the problem cannot be
acknowledged. The settings are default so you have to wait for it to
reach 5/5 attempts. Is there a way to configure Nagios so that the
audio alerts are not given until the service reaches a hard state?

Thanks
Chris
