Nagios w/MySQL and APAN/Grapher

I'm trying to install Nagios from the ports collection on FreeBSD 5.3
When it installs I select the options for MySQL and Performance Data.
But, I have no option to create a mysql account and it doesn't create
the tables.  How do I use mysql for this.

Also can anyone recommend any good guides/software to install a grapher
with the data?  I've looked at APAN, but I can't get it configured
properly.
