If you like, you can just send me a tarball of your configuration. I 
might have time to take a look at it over the weekend and find if there 
is indeed anything wrong with it. Seeing as this is a common problem 
that has often (always?) had its roots in the configuration, I can 
understand why people are skeptical.

If you're indeed sure there is a bug in nagios, it shouldn't pose a very 
large problem to fetch the 1.2 source to verify and fix it.
