pNSClient monitors many things, but the event log isn't one of
them.  There is an event log monitor available from the Nagios
"Extras" page (in the Downloads section), but I've found it to
be somewhat lacking in that I can't get it to run as a service,
and the polling method doesn't seem especially well suited to
monitoring the event log, anyway.  Give it a try though, you
may have a better experience with it.
