Problems getting nagios to work when compiled to use MySQL

Hello,

Can someone help me figure out why the daemon stops running after a couple
of pings when I've compiled nagios(lastest) version to use database logging.


I've used the check_nagios_db.pl to for checking status but the daemon dies
after a few seconds. I see it logging to the database but it doesn't stay
up. I've successfully got it to work when not logging to a DB.
