NOPE...that will not suffice to add the pretty icons. The new Nagios 1.0
and higher requires that you put extended host information in the
cgi.cfg file....ot get around this add this line in the cgi.cfg file and
let me know if this works.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
xedtemplate_config_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/hostextinfo.cfg (Correct
path?)

Thanks,

Subject: [Nagios-users] Unable to see icons in on statusmap.cgi from
hostextinfo.cfg

I have a number of icons in the images directory ready to go.
I have hostextinfo.cfg setup using nagiosmap.pl
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get Nagios to actually use
the hostextinfo.cfg file. I put the appropriate refrence in cgi.cfg to
the file. When I do a Nagios -v, it never mentions touching
hostextinfo.cfg, and a strace confirms that it doesn't touch it. I have
Nagios compiled to use MySQL for a few things, but not for extinfo.

./configure --with-mysql-xdata --with-mysql-status --with-mysql-comments
--with-mysql-retention --with-mysql-downtime --with-mysql-perform

I don't suppose anyone could point out what I am doing wrong?
