Problem getting NRPE to collect data on client

What are the permissions on the file nrpe.cfg and the directory /usr/local/nagios. Also, typically I would expect nrpe.cfg to be in /usr/local/nagios/etc. Are you looking for it in the right place?

Hello,

I am getting the following error in the messages log file on the client...

Sep 22 11:34:39 MACHINENAME nrpe[23904]: Unable to open config file '/usr/local/nagios/nrpe.cfg' for reading
Sep 22 11:34:39 MACHINENAME nrpe[23904]: Config file '/usr/local/nagios/nrpe.cfg' contained errors, bailing out...

I am running the latest plugins/nrpe deamon, as I just downloaded/installed them today.  I am sure that this is a permissions thing but I seem to be missing it.

Any help with this would be great.  Thanks in advance.

Dan
