Comment/Downtime and Case Sensitivity

After many frustrating days of wondering why I couldn't post a comment
or downtime message (I had been getting the infamous "Sorry, but you
are not authorized to commit the specified command" message), I have
discovered that it will only work if I enter the host name exactly as
defined (paying attention to upper and lower case characters). I'm not
sure if it's just my server (Nagios 1.1 on Darwin, Mac OS X) or it's
the general case.

I think it's more than a nuisance because the host names I have defined
have upper and lower case characters and if the other users with try to
post a comment and enter the name in all lower case (as I had been
doing), they'll only get the quite useless error message. I tried to
change the cmd.cgi to use strcasecmp instead of strcmp, but my C is
quite rusty and it didn't seem to make any difference.

Is this something particular to my setup? If anyone has any ideas of
what else I can try, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.
