Debian Unstable-> "Warning: Monitoring process may not be running!"

When you say "fix it up" how do you tell it to look for the status data in 
mysql?

There's a command in the cgi.cfg file which checks to see if nagios is 
running
or not.. I'm not sure how the debian package is put together, but this 
command
is commented out in the default config file.  It needs to be cutomized for
your particular OS and Nagios install, which is why it is commented out by
default.

Uncomment the 'nagios_check_command' variable in cgi.cfg and fix it up to
match your system and things should start working as you expect.
