New to Nagios

Hi all,

I am new to nagios, I have it up and running, and I am now looking at
the various add-ons for it before
I roll it out.

One question I have is using mysql to storing the extended data.

>From what I have read, the only info that is stored is the status logs
and extended data, and that is
does NOT store the standard configuration information.

Is that correct?, and if so what are the benefits of using the database
add-on.

Thanks

Darren
