Old IP kept...

It sounds like you may have a rogue nagios process running.  Do a
/etc/init.d/nagios stop... kill all nagios processes and start it up.

I exeprience a strange thing. I changed an IP of two of my hosts, Nagios
monitors these new addresses and allways shows green OK status on the
web, but I
still receive notifications about host DOWN for the OLD IP adresses...
where is
the problem????  The old addresses are never written in the config
files...
