Nagios as Scheduling platform

Hi Guys,
         We use tool called opalis for scheduling various
interelated activities ......but kind of sucks ...also it
doesn't allow more than two users at a time.....Is it possible
to nagios as a schedular ...??Has any body used that way or NXE
(Nagios XML Engine)
