Nagios: Nested Host Groups?

Is it possible to have nested host groups in Nagios? For example, I would have a top level host group called 'Internet Services', and below that group I would have two sub-groups: 'Mail Servers' and 'Web Servers'. When accessing through the web interface, I would see 'Internet Services' listed under Status Summary For All Host Groups. When I click on 'Internet Services', I would be brought to a page with the two sub-groups: 'Mail Servers' and 'Web Servers'. Clicking on either one of these sub-groups wou
ld then have a list of all hosts contained within the selected sub-group.

I have tried to edit the template files by adding the sub-groups as members of the top level host group and defining the sub-groups below with all of their members. This results in an error saying that there is no entry in the hosts file for the specified sub-groups. Do I have to define these sub-groups as 'dummy' hosts in the hosts file first?

Is it possible to have nested host groups in Nagios? If so, how can this be accomplished? Thanks in advance.
