/etc/init.d/nagios reload

I've seen this too. Apparently "/etc/init.d/nagios reload" is broken, 
sending a SIGHUP to the nagios process will break it too. After that it 
fails to execute any service checks, giving the error for each one:
 
	Warning: Return code of 127 for check of service 'web' on host 
	'foo.example.com' was out of bounds. Make sure the plugin 
	you're trying to run actually exists.

If you do a "nagios restart" instead of "reload", then everything works.
