apache configuration

If your using the latest version of Apache, make sure you put these lines in
the commonhttpd.conf file and NOT the httpd.conf file (these are in
/etc/httpd/conf) and restart it all.

Hi i am totally new to nagios. Pretty much have started from scratch.

Here is the problem:

-In setting up the web interface, the documentation has stated to write
ScriptAlias and Alias (one after another) in the httpd configuration file. I
did this. The browser does not see the /nagios section. I get a 404 error
Object not Found. Can anyone help me.
