check are not running at scheduled time and hangs after that

Hello all,

sometimes i wonder about checks, which run last time a few days ago. But they should run every x minutes.
The next_scheduled_active_check value points on a datetime in past.
I have installed Nagios 1.0b6 on HP/UX 11.00. 

Has someone noticed the same problem?
