Nagios Statd and HP-UX

I had similar problems with HPUX 11.0 systems.

The main problem seemed to be a very broken perl setup.

Either the system version of perl was version 4 or version 5 but with lots of bit's missing.
In the end had to download and re-compile perl version 5.6.1

Which seemed to work for us.

Note that downloaded pre-compiled versions of perl also gave me hassle 
This might have been the site's they came from or just broken.
