pngtogd2 issue

I've tried this as well. I've all but lost hope on using my own custom
images. The images are 40x40 is that the correct size?

try using "pngtogd2 image.png image.gd2 0 1" to generate the image.

I've had problems with the images generated by pngtogd2 in the past and
my experience has been to just use the pre-built images available from
the nagios site.
