probleme check_mail

i am running nagios 1.1 with plugins 1.3
i try to use check_mailq with nrpe
if i do check_mail -w 50 -c 100 on the local machine all works fine
but when i do that with nrpe i have the error " Error receiving data from 
daemon"
and when i do it at the hand ( check_nrpe -H host -c check_mail -a 50 100 )
i have in daemon.log  " error client request contained command arguments"
		          " error client request invalid bailing out "'
