If the hub is not manageble, you can use a check_host_cluster to check a
hub. Add all attached machines which are monitored by nagios to the
cluster (except for the devices from which nagios check should come in).
Warning and Critical level are the same, en should be the count(*) of
the attached devices.

Now if the "hub" goes down, the cluster check will fail and will give a
critical error. If one of the devices still can be reached, the hubb
will marked as working.
