Why ? Surely if you are running Linux on z/OS (or VM/Linux or whatever
they call the version of VM that runs Linux without the need to maintain
VM), porting should be irrelevant.

Could be very useful there?  I've currently set it up on an Intel box to monitor Linux for zSeries images.
