Log doesnt log.

Well, my nagios WAS working. Until i stopped it, removed the logfile and
restarted nagios. Now it doesn't log any more. Or rather, I see things
like

[04-24-2003 13:28:42] Warning: Contact 'fredrik' is not a member of any
contact groups!
[04-24-2003 13:28:42] Nagios 1.0 starting... (PID=6681)


But no service notification / forced commands are logged anymore.. What
might have happened here?
