best check https

Hi
I would like to know what are the diferents and the best option to check
https because i try both and i get diferents results. Please some
help...

Option 1:
Define command{
        command_name    check_https
        command_line    $USER1$/check_http -I $HOSTADDRESS$ -S -C 30
}

Results:
	HTTP CRITICAL: string not found
	HTTP ok: HTTP/1.1 200 OK - 0.399 second response time 

Option 2:
define command{
        command_name    check_https
        command_line    $USER1$/check_http -I $HOSTADDRESS$ -S -e
"HTTP/1." -t 30 -c 30
        }

Results:
	HTTP WARNING: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
	HTTP WARNING: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
