check_mrtgtraf plugin units

Have somebody used the check_mrtgtraf plugin.
What are the units of the warning and critical bandwidth levels that we
have to give. Is it in bits or bytes or Kilobits or Kilobytes.
I dont see the result of this plugin coming as OK or warning or
critical.Does anybody knows why?
It shows its output in Kilo Bytes per second . Can we change it to
Kilobits per second as in mrtg graphs also, its shown in kilo bits per
second.
