feature requests?

The best way to submit feature requests is by sending a note to the
nagios-devel list.

The feature you're requesting alread exists through use of the
cfg_dir directive in the main config file. Example:

cfg_dir=<nagiosconfdir>/hosts

will cause Nagios to read all config files (with a .cfg extension) in
the <nagiosconfdir>/hosts directory.
