Hello!

Can't you just make a small shell script ie

snip
#!/bin/sh
oracle=<command to launch oracle query>
query="SELECT proc() FROM dual;"

val=$(`echo $query | $oracle`)

if [ $val -eq 0 ]; then
 return 0;
else
 return 1;
fi
exit;
snip
