No etc folder

Hi. i just installed nagios in my linux 7.2.  From the
documentation, it says there that i should have 5
folders (bin, share, var, sbin, etc.  however, i have
only 4 and folder etc is missing.  what could be the
problem? pls. help.  thanks.
