check_snmp problem on RedHat 8.0

Hi All,

I recently upgraded to RedHat 8.0 and I'm having problems with the
check_snmp plugin working on it.  It keeps saying no data received
from host.

When manually trying snmpget I get the ff result:
"MIBNAME/NUMBER" = "UNIT": "RESULT"

I'm guessing nagios's problem with this is that it's reading the unit
along with the result.

Now, how do I suppress the unit from appearing so check_snmp can read
the result properly?

Do I need to configure snmp.conf somewhere or can I do something with
the plugin to have it do what I need?
