Question concerning notifications

I'm back with another (most likely) silly question.

I would like to recieve only one (1) notification when a service
enters 'WARNING' state, while at the same time recieving
many notifications for a 'CRITICAL' state.

I have looked through the docs for service definitions and found
nothing to even hint at how to do this...or even if it's possible.

Clues gladly accepted!
