Availability CSV Reports in MySQL?

Hi,

I'm trying to get the csv availability report in mysql.
I think it's clever to do this every time nagios checks the services and hosts with an eventhandler.
But I have no idea.
How do I do this?
With a perl script?
Has anybody an example of such a script?
