nsca server dropping packets with stale timestamp

Hello,

I am having trouble getting the nsca client server to talk to each other. I
have disabled encryption to try and troubleshoot.

The client is sending the alerts properly but they are always dropped by the
server running on inetd

My logs look like this:

Nov 27 12:23:38 x509security nsca[11666]: Dropping packet with future
timestamp.
Nov 27 12:23:38 x509security nsca[11666]: End of connection or could not
read request from client...
Nov 27 12:24:35 x509security nsca[19028]: Dropping packet with stale
timestamp - packet was 2277303657 seconds old.
Nov 27 12:24:35 x509security nsca[19028]: End of connection or could not
read request from client...
Nov 27 12:25:30 x509security nsca[7424]: Dropping packet with stale
timestamp - packet was 62133996 seconds old.
Nov 27 12:25:30 x509security nsca[7424]: End of connection or could not read
request from client...
Nov 27 12:26:26 x509security nsca[2909]: Dropping packet with stale
timestamp - packet was 1602785598 seconds old.

I either get a future timestamp or a timestamp that's way out of date. I
couldn't find the answer to this in the documentation or FAQ's

Thanks Oliver
