strategic question: MySQL vs. no MySQL vs. RR DTool

I have a similar reason for not wanting to use rrd....i don't like the idea
of deciding at creation time what my buckets will be...i'd rather store ALL
the datapoints and summarize when I report.

One reason is because you can't store everything in a rrd.  For
instance, if I want to keep the actual plugin return string.  Not just
the ok,warning, critical, but the the text string, rrd isn't really
going to do much for me.
