solaris8 gdlib

Hello everyone. I have installed gdlib version 2.0.3 on solaris8
system, but nagios configure (1.0b6) return that gdlib not found (with --gd-lib-*
too). i have checked installation of gdlib by 'ld -lgd -lz -lm -lpng
-ljpeg' and all sucessful. anywone have idea?
