Can we disable flapping just for one service check?

Hello there,
	I have flap_detection_enabled set to 1 in hosts.cfg and
services.cfg. But I need to disable this for just one service check that I
am doing. Can this be done? I tried adding the line flap_detection_enabled 0
to the service definition and restarted. But it doesn't seem to take affect.
Any suggestions?
