Return code of 127

hi nagios users

I have some services running on a remote host like disk checks,load checks
for which i have installed the nrpe there. The checks are working fine
when i check them from command line from the nagios host to remote
host.like check_nrpe myhost.com -c checjk_load.
This command is running fine from the command line and its giving right
output, but in the status.cgi, it shows this message in the service
check:-
(Return code of 127 is out of bounds - plugin may be missing)
I cant figure out whats preventing nagios from showing right output in cgi.
Please help me figuring out this problem.
