Hi Nagios/naemon has a loop prevention mechanism. Problem is that "loop" network topology is not uncommon these days. You can have so called loops all over the network and it will work fine. Even if those looped connections does not act only as backups. They may work as a "regular" links. Do you plan to change it ? Different aproach ?
