Thanks for the suggestion. We have tried this in the past and found that
recurring Scheduled Downtime skews Nagios' Availability report. It's my
understanding that Nagios won't check the host or service if it is in
scheduled downtime. Is this incorrect?

Also, what do you use for automating the scheduling of downtime? I've seen a
few tools available as add-ons but to my knowledge, Nagios doesn't
inherently support recurring downtime. Again, is that correct?
