R: Disable host checking ?

My doubts are regarding to other actions which can be performed via CGI
- enable/disable notifications
- enable/disable event handler for this service
- ... and so on !

Probably you have answered me in the last mail ... all the changes are made
internally and in the status.sav file.
Moreover you conferm me that Nagios does not modify the configuration files.

Is all correct and enought to understand how nagios work (for this
argument!) in your opinion ?

Thanks
Marco

-}It's changed only in its internal, memory based, representation of the
-}objects. If you have host and service retention enabled then these
