I believe you may be right.  Get the latest HEAD plugins and compile 
them.  They will return perf data as well as a textual description.  I 
saw this URL from a friend in this list:

http://nagiosplug.sourceforge.net/snapshot/

Also get latest Nagios, 1.2.
