Please check the value of the variable $USER1$ in /etc/nagios/resource.cfg and see if the check_ping is present there. You can also mail me back the content of the resource.cfg file as well as the output of the command: ls -al check_ping run into the path in which $USER1$ is pointing to. More, you can try running the command by yourself from that path by issuing ./check_ping -H localhost -w 100.0,20% -c 500.0,60% -p 5 Regards!
