specify a number of host-groups instead of a list of hosts – and I then
try to make service dependencies on this service on each of the hosts included
in the host-groups – then Nagios states, that it cannot find a matching
service name for the specified host ??<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>I thought, that by specifying the
hostgroups would make Nagios derive the list of hosts from the hostgroups –
and thereby making it possible for me to make service dependencies on each host
in the hostgroup…<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>In my e.g. PING service check, I specify
hostgroups hostgrp-1, hostgrp-2<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>I also define another service – could
e.g. be check_http - also with hostgroups hostgrp-1 and hostgrp-2 as

<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>Now, If I try to make a service dependency,
and I specify host-a as host and dependant host – and then specify PING
as service, and check_http as dependat service – then I’m told,
that PING isn’t listed as a service for host-a<o:p></o:p></span></p>
