<p class=MsoNormal>I’ve just finished configuring a Nagios instance, and
I have also install NRPE locally on the same machine. I have configured NRPE
and checked that it’s working by running the following,<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal># /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 127.0.0.1<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>NRPE v2.12<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>The result comes back as expected. Also, checking swap
returns the following.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal># /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_swap -w 20% -c 10%<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>SWAP OK - 100% free (1983 MB out of 1983 MB)

<p class=MsoNormal>So I know that NRPE itself is working, what I can’t
figure out is why Nagios not giving me the extra data, I just get the error msg

<p class=MsoNormal>CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 10 seconds.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Any advice appreciated. Just to clarify, Nagios and NRPE are
