This was my suspicion, as one of the SQL Servers did show signs of high CPU utilization. The symptoms last for about 13-15 minutes, enough time for the notifications to be sent out, then snaps back to OK statuses. I’m using NSClient on all of my Windows server, and the check_nt plugin to watch things such as disk utilization, services, CPU, etc. Here are some samples of the check_nt commands I'm using:<o:p></o:p> $USER1$/check_nt -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 1248 -v SERVICESTATE -l $ARG1 <o:p></o:p> $USER1$/check_nt -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 1248 -v CPULOAD -l $ARG1$ <o:p></o:p> $USER1$/check_nt -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 1248 -v USEDDISKSPACE -l $ARG1$ -w $ARG2$ -c $ARG3$ <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Something else to note...these Nagios service checks have been in place for quite some time, and it's just recently started acting up.
