Ah, understood. I do not use the check_snmp plugin, I use Patrick proy's <br>
snmp plugins. I misunderstood the requirements of the check_snmp plugin.<br>
With patrick's plugins they only require the perl Net-snmp portion,<br>
which is why I am using the CPAN version!<br>

Umm, no. That will install perl-Net-SNMP (or some such), which is only<br>
the perl-cruft into the net-snmp package. check_snmp is written in C,<br>
so what you do with CPAN will have absolutely zero impact on how it<br>
works. <br>
