I found a small problem that might already have been fixed but I did not find anything about it. The defaults within Nagios for rotating the logfiles have been set to 1 day. It rotates around midnight. The problem is that I suspect nagios is pointing to a wrong filepointer. I stops logging the events until the next os logrotation (around 6 a.m. in our case).
