recently installed 2.0b3 and it's all working fine but I had a problem where
following a HUP signal or an overnight restart, I got errors for every plug-in
that it tried to run.</FONT></FONT></DIV>

<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>This turned out to be due to a
permissions problem on the file /usr/local/nagios/etc/resources.cfg that defines
the $USER1$ variable - the nagios user didn't have read access to it, and ended
up trying to run all the plugins from "/". Of course when I started it initially
as root, it read the file ok.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>I worked it out in the end but an error
message saying it couldn't read the file would have been helpful!</FONT></DIV>
