Hello I am a Nagios Newbie i installed and configured nagios a two weeks ago with an Expert but he is out of the country. I would like to configure it again so that i can understand it more. Iam running redhat linux 9 On the documentation that i got on this web site( see below) i seem not to get what this means even if i replace it with the default directories. Nagios wont still run. i run all those commands logged at root and am in the root directory 1.Can any one help me on what this line means or what i should do here. ./configure --prefix= prefix --with-cgiurl= cgiurl –with-htmurl= htmurl --with-nagios-user= someuser –with-nagios-grp= somegroup -NOTE: you will find this on page 7/8 of the installation guide on this website <A href="http://nagios.sourceforge.net/download/contrib/documentation/misc/InstallingNagios-r2.pdf">http://nagios.sourceforge.net/download/contrib/documentation/misc/InstallingNagios-r2.pdf</A> 2.
