problem is that I have a service check that fails (as it should, the service
check is down), and so the process goes ahead and checks the host availability,
which fails as well and immediately generates a notification.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

less than 2 seconds. I need to know what I can do to check out the service,
but wait several minutes before sending a notification. Should I leave the
host check command blank for this particular scenario? And will that have the
