For future ease of administration I would like to be able to set up hostgroup dependencies, such as: define hostgroupdependency{ host_name network device dependent_hostgroup_name hostgroup notification_failure_criteria d,u } I manage a rather large Nagios build (over 2,000 checks) and would like to just be able to change hosts in my hostgroups file and have the host dependencies already set up. I have service and host dependencies set up but when I tried to set up the hostgroup dependency it didn't like the syntax. Do you know any way around this? I guess I can just copy and paste straight from the hostgroups.cfg directly to the dependencies.cfg but I figured this would be a cleaner way to do it. btw, I found this FAQ very helpful...
