Some MTAs expect QUIT\r and some expect QUIT\r\n. It's a fairly straightforward modification to check_smtp.c as sending \r\n all the time doesn't break anything. Domino also runs on Linux RH7.3. I am not sure if this is related to a misconfigured Domino or nagios is not seeing something. P.S. It works against a sendmail server on the same network.
